Glacial Knits Podcast Episode 9: Oh, Canada!
We went to Canada! Calgary and the Canadian Rockies were a beautiful place. Never had we seen mountains like that. I was so inspired that I will have a new colorway based on what we saw!
Calgary itself had a number of nice yarn stores and I brought some work by Canadian dyers back to share with you all.
We start with our knitting.
Olivia's Tee by Sandra Butler in a one-off speckle test dye in a baby alpaca and mulberry silk base.
Descent cowl by Kaitlyn Rowsom out of an undyed skein of Northern Woolen Mills DAKOTA Worsted.
We share all the cool yarn we found from Canadian dyers!
Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts Lascaux Worsted in the Syrah colorway.
ArtFil Belle in the Stardust colorway.
Lichen and Lace 80/20 sock in the Faded Rose colorway.
Poppy Yarn and Fibre Gobi Shawl in the Merry Dancer colorway.
We talk about our trip to Canada more and Sari shares some pictures.
